Help find a CURE for my Dad

My dad was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a neuromuscular autoimmune disease over 2 years ago. The road to a diagnosis was a long one. He went from doctor to doctor until finally a neurologist who specializes in eyes detected the disease.

His Myasthenia Gravis affects him on a daily basis with muscle weakness, fatigue, drooping of his eye lids, eye vision problems, etc. At one time, my dad was not able to drive because of his eye problems. The heat affects this disease by increasing the muscle fatigue.

Chicago 088In 2011, my dad experienced severe dropping of his eyelid and double vision.

Today, he is doing better and we pray he goes into remission but this disease is so unpredictable.

My family and I have created a team to raise awareness and funds for the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation for the New Orleans chapter’s walk.

Our team needs your help with raising funds for research for a CURE. There is no cure for MG.

By donating $25 or more to my fundraising page this week, you could be entered to win a basket of Paula Deen’s products a value of $100 and a SIGNED copy of her cookbook courtesy of Braswell Food Company.
