Spice-Rubbed Cajun Barbecue Shrimp

As a mom, sometimes I don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen. I created this recipe for the times that I need a quick and easy lunch or dinner. It takes only 15 minutes to whip up!!!!!

Step 1

Combine 4 teaspoons Worcestershire powder, 4 teaspoons garlic powder, 2 teaspoons onion powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt, 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper, and a pinch cayenne pepper.

Using good quality spices is key in this recipe. My go-to are Savory Spice Shop’s spices. Shop their site and get 15% off your order using code WHITNEY15. www.savoryspiceshop.com

Step 2

Place 2 pounds deveined, shell-on large shrimp on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the spice rub and 1/4 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest over the shrimp. Toss to coat.

Step 3

Add 2 tablespoons butter, cubed.

Drizzle 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil over the shrimp.

Bake at 400 degrees F on top rack for 10 to 12 minutes or until shrimp are pink and cooked through.

Step 4

Squeeze some lemon juice over the roasted shrimp.

Enjoy with warm French bread for dipping.
