My husband and I wanted our wedding ceremony to not be about us but the one who brought us together. After praying over the ceremony, I felt led for Ryan & I to wash each other’s feet as a humble service to each other as Jesus told us to do in John 13:12-17 In verse 17 Jesus ended and said …you will be blessed if you do them
verse 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should was one another’s feet.

June 14, 2015 at 2:49 amI’ve only come across the show Masterchef recently, and throughout the show, I couldn’t help but notice the perseverance and resilience you possessed. Then I read that you were raised in faith, and I knew at that moment that it was because of your relationship w the Lord. Thank you encouraging me to build such a solid foundation on Him for my 2 young daughters, and inspiring me to strengthen my relationship w Him as well.

May 13, 2019 at 9:24 pmFunny I should find you, Whitney! I am Lauren Gentry, a believer in Jesus Christ, who is about to get married Saturday. I went through Teen Challenge in 2011 and that is how I ended up in POPLARVILLE, MS! (I’m originally from Florence, MS.) lol. I am looking for ideas on how to do the foot washing in our ceremony and found this blog. Jesus! My fiance and I have both been delivered from drugs and alcohol. He went through Damascus Road, Jacob’s Well’s brother program. Just a shout from down in home-town!
In His love,
Lauren

June 11, 2019 at 4:27 pmI love that you incorporated this into your wedding ceremony! I am a woman of faith as well.
I was hoping you would win Masterchef from the start. I felt from the start that you were a woman of faith. You can usually spot a person of faith by the way they handle themselves. Under all the pressure, ups and downs, it was beautiful watching how you carried yourself through the competition!
