I’m not sure how National S’mores Day is in August (10th) but let’s celebrate! Who wouldn’t want to celebrate with s’mores? Right? I put a fun twist on the classic graham crackers, chocolate square and toasted marshmallow with my creation of Grown Up S’mores.
Grown Up S’mores- Nestled between two homemade or store bought graham crackers is a fudgy mini molten lava cake and homemade toasted marshmallow.
For the mini molten lava cakes, I use the molten lava cake recipe in my first cookbook, Modern Hospitality: Simple Recipes with Southern Charm and prepare the cakes in a mini muffin pan.
Bake the molten lava cake batter in a mini muffin pan for about 4 minutes or until jiggly in the center.
To assemble: Toast a homemade (try my agave marshmallow recipe in my cookbook) or store bought marshmallow & sandwich the mini molten lava cake and marshmallow between graham crackers. You will be able to make your own graham crackers with my recipe in my 2nd cookbook, Whitney Miller’s New Southern Table releasing October 27th.
Who is with me in celebrating National S’mores Day?
