Take a Foodie Trip to South Africa

I am so excited to announce that I will be hosting a culinary tour in South Africa concentrating on the Cape Malay Cuisine and the Winelands.  After my first trip to South Africa, specifically Cape Town, I immediately fell in love. During the trip, I had the privilege to be in a line-up with chefs including Cake Boss’s Buddy Valastro, South Africa’s Masterchef season 2 contestants, Michelin star chef Giorgio Locatelli, and more conducting cooking demos at the Good Food and Wine Show.

From the mountain and ocean scenery to the cuisine and the people, there is just so much to love.

If you choose to join me on my culinary tour, you will be staying in a mountain view room in Cape Town.

At home in Mississippi, you may see cow or deer crossings but in Cape Town there are baboon crossings. You will also see Ostrich on the side of the road.

You will visit Cape Point which is the tip of the Cape Peninsula.

IMG_3011According to capepoint.co.za, the vegetation of Cape Point, fynbos, comprises the smallest but richest of the world’s six floral kingdoms.  Hotels will showcase these beauties in their floral arrangements.

Penguins in South Africa? Yes, I know. I was so surprised. When I think of penguins, I think of arctic climates.

Boulders Bay is one of the most picturesque places and on top of that you find these magnificent animals.

The end of the tour includes a half-day wine and food tasting tour in the Winelands. We will visit the wine and fruit farms. You will taste the wines and we will sample olives, cheeses, and chocolates.

Have fun in the kitchen with me during an interactive cooking lesson. 🙂

Come tour South Africa: Cape Malay Cuisine and the Winelands with me where I am bringing Southern hospitality.
