Mock Mint Julep

The Kentucky Derby is this weekend. I have created a mock mint julep for you to sip while watching the race. This is fun to serve kids and adults alike.

Question, if you don’t mind! After you infuse the mint leaves for 6 minutes, do you then take them out before you let the syrup cool? I’d like to try this, as I’m having a friend over on Saturday to watch the Kentucky Derby. And I’m going to make a Derby Pie, which I’ve been dying to try for awhile now. =) Thanks!

      Hey Leandra!

I am sorry I saw your message late. I leave the mint leaves in the syrup. If it was something else like rosemary then I remove it.
